Standard HDF
General hard-wearing fibreboard, denser and stiffer than MDF, for components that need a harder surface or finer machined edge: mouldings, tool boards and furniture parts in non-structural interior use.
HDF
Ningfeng Group manufactures HDF (high-density fibreboard), a denser and harder-wearing fibreboard than MDF, for laminate flooring cores, door skins and components that take heavy wear or fine machining. Standard panels are 1220 × 2440 mm and 1220 × 2745 mm, with flooring-core thickness typically 6 to 12 mm. Every board is available in formaldehyde classes E1, E0, ENF (formaldehyde-free), CARB P2 and JIS F★★★★.
Ningfeng's ultra-thin fibreboard range, from 0.8 mm, is a distinct specialised product with its own production history and its own page: see Thin & Ultra-Thin HDF for the sub-3 mm range, door skins, packaging and the full thickness-to-application map. This page covers standard-density HDF at flooring-core and general thickness.
Also specified as: high density fiberboard · HDF board
General hard-wearing fibreboard, denser and stiffer than MDF, for components that need a harder surface or finer machined edge: mouldings, tool boards and furniture parts in non-structural interior use.
Dimensionally stable, tight-tolerance core board for laminate flooring systems, engineered for the moisture and impact resistance flooring presses demand. Thickness 6 to 12 mm.
Heavier-gauge door skins above 3 mm for moulded and embossed panel doors. Ningfeng's thinner door-skin range, 1.5 to 3 mm, is produced on dedicated ultra-thin lines and detailed on the Thin & Ultra-Thin HDF page.

Ningfeng runs standard-density and ultra-thin fibreboard as distinct capabilities. Standard HDF on this page covers 3 mm and up: flooring cores, door skins and hard-wearing components. Below 3 mm, board becomes a different manufacturing problem, controlling mat weight and press gap at fractions of a millimetre, run on dedicated lines and covered in full on the Thin & Ultra-Thin HDF page, including the 0.8 to 3 mm thickness-to-application map.
High-density fibreboard, a fibre-based engineered panel denser and harder-wearing than MDF. It is the standard core material for laminate flooring and a common choice for door skins and components that need a harder machined edge.
6 to 12 mm HDF is the standard laminate flooring core range. Ningfeng produces it to the tight thickness and density tolerance laminate flooring presses require.
Yes, down to 0.8 mm, but it is a distinct product with its own dedicated lines and page. See Thin & Ultra-Thin HDF for the 0.8 to 3 mm range, applications and thickness guide.
Both are fibre-based panels, but HDF is pressed to a higher density, giving a harder, more wear-resistant surface. MDF is the more common general-purpose furniture substrate; HDF is chosen where hardness and wear resistance matter more, such as flooring cores and door skins.
All classes held across the Ningfeng range: E1, E0, ENF (formaldehyde-free), CARB Phase 2 and JIS F★★★★.
