Particleboard (Chipboard)
Ningfeng Group manufactures particleboard, also sold as chipboard, on six of its ten continuous-press lines across Shandong, Henan, Jiangsu, Anhui and Hubei. Standard panels are 1220 × 2440 mm and 1220 × 2745 mm in thicknesses up to 30 mm, produced to EN 312 P2 (furniture, dry conditions) and P3 (moisture-resistant) grades. Every board is available in formaldehyde classes E1, E0, ENF (formaldehyde-free), CARB P2 and JIS F★★★★.
The lines are general-purpose. Beyond the standard catalogue, Ningfeng produces custom densities, sizes and functional grades to order at volume, which is how most of our distribution partners buy.

Grades and variants
Moisture-Resistant (EN 312 P3)
For kitchens, bathrooms and other humid interiors: furniture grade with 24-hour thickness swelling of 14% or less per EN 317. For load-bearing humid projects, send the specification; our team quotes make-to-order options.
Fire-Retardant
Reaction-to-fire performance to EN 13501-1 B-s1,d0 for commercial fit-outs, public buildings and transport interiors.
Lightweight High-Strength
Reduced-density construction for doors, mobile furniture and freight-sensitive applications, developed with the Chinese Academy of Forestry under a national key R&D programme. Ningfeng runs the first continuous-press line in the world built for the process.
OCB, Engineered Particleboard
Ningfeng's engineered particleboard line: an oriented, high-performance construction of the classic board. Note the name carefully, OCB is engineered particleboard, a different product from OSB (oriented strand board).

Lightweight high-strength: a world-first line
Under China's 14th Five-Year Plan national key R&D programme, Ningfeng and the Wood Industry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Forestry jointly developed a lightweight high-strength particleboard technology. An expert committee led by academicians of the Chinese Academies of Sciences and Engineering rated the result internationally advanced overall, with its core technology and new products at the internationally leading level. Ningfeng built and runs the first continuous-press line in the world for the process.
For buyers, the practical meaning is weight: doors, mobile furniture and freight-sensitive components at a lower density without giving up screw holding or stiffness. Ask for the lightweight grade when weight or shipping cost drives your specification.
Made to spec, at volume
Six particleboard lines give Ningfeng the scheduling room that single-line mills do not have. Standard P2 board ships from stock programmes; custom density, thickness, size or emission class runs are planned onto a dedicated line without disturbing supply. If your specification is unusual, send it: at volume, the lines can make it.
China's first 8-foot continuous-press particleboard line was a Ningfeng line, commissioned in Henan in 2013. The same engineering team now runs all six.

Particleboard FAQs
Is particleboard the same as chipboard?
Yes. Particleboard and chipboard are two names for the same product, a panel pressed from wood particles and resin. Ningfeng produces it to EN 312 and GB/T 4897 on six continuous-press lines, in raw and melamine-faced form.
Which formaldehyde emission grades can Ningfeng supply?
All major classes are held across the particleboard range: E1 and E0, ENF (formaldehyde-free), CARB Phase 2 and JIS F★★★★. ENF board is produced with no added formaldehyde resin systems.
Can I use Ningfeng particleboard in kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes, specify the EN 312 P3 moisture-resistant grade. It is a furniture grade for humid, non-load-bearing interior use, with 24-hour thickness swelling of 14% or less per EN 317. For load-bearing humid applications, send the specification to our team; these are quoted as make-to-order projects.
What is OCB board?
OCB is Ningfeng's engineered particleboard line, an oriented construction that raises mechanical performance over standard board. It is a particleboard product; it is not OSB (oriented strand board), despite the similar acronym.
What is the minimum order and lead time?
